Updates provided included:

-Mr. Hickey was present and noted some difficulties with wrist bands for his family showing and that some out-of-county 4-H’rs would be helping with halters.  He expressed that this is not a level playing field.  He noted that this is the premier Fair in the country, but this Board is legislating it in a way that is taking the fun out of it for all.

Landon stated that there are rules in place for a reason because of some taking advantage.  He added that really nothing has changed here, just that the rules are now being taken seriously and being enforced.  This is something that can be brought to the Livestock Committee in the fall after Fair, and Mr. Hickey was thanked for his comments.

-Dr. Kristie Campbell noted that Poultry Testing will happen on July 24th at 2:00 p.m.

-Animals can stay for the Carcass Contest, but then can leave unless they’ve made Sale.

-Discussion ensued about monitoring the barns; Keisha is offended that she was told to be in the Beef Barn but would prefer to be in the Hog Barn which is what she volunteered for.  It was noted that someone from the Livestock Committee needs to be in the Beef Barn.

-All went well with Goat Check in.

-Mikayla noted that the shows will be livestreamed, and she will need help hanging TV’s in the goat and hog barns.  Board Members agreed to assist.

-It’s been shared that there does not seem to be any security overnight for the Horses.

-Kali stated that Hort Check In seems to be going well and that judging is happening now.  4-H is also going well.
