Fair Committees

The Weld County Fair Board invites applicants to its' Fair Committees for 2026 Fair planning at any time up until Fair week. 

If you are interested in serving and sharing your ideas, the Board looks forward to your application!

 

All Around Showmanship Committee

This Committee will organize All Around Showmanship by lining up judges and announcers. They must be present to ensure the event runs smoothly and to help with any problems that may arise.

Carcass Contest Committee

This Committee helps plan and organize the Carcass Contest for sheep, goats, swine, and beef cattle. There will be preparation before Fair, collection of data during and after Fair, and collaboration with other organizations.

Drug Testing Committee

This Committee will oversee and plan proper drug testing procedures for various livestock species to be tested during the Weld County Fair. Having experience and knowledge with the drug testing of animals and experience with livestock in general will be very helpful in order to be successful on this Committee. You will work with the Fair Board, two members from the Livestock Animal Health Committee, and one member from the Jr. Livestock Sale Committee.

Jr. Fair Board Committee

The Weld County Junior Fair Board's promote the Weld County Fair through outreach, service, and education; support Fair operations; improve the Fair experience for exhibitors and attendees; and to foster civic engagement, responsibility, and teamwork.   

Advisors to the Weld County JFB selected by the Weld County Fair Board, will be charged with supervising and supporting the work of the JFB.

Jr. Livestock, Animal Health Committee

This Committee oversees all Junior Livestock issues from rule changes to judge selection. They schedule vets during the days they are needed during Fair to complete the health inspections. They need to be available during all animal health inspections to assist in any way needed. This Committee also visits randomly chosen livestock projects to ensure livestock are being taken care of appropriately. Each committee member visits up to 10 projects, typically

Jr. Livestock, Sale Committee

This Committee is responsible for organizing and running the Jr. Livestock Sale on the last day of the Weld County Fair.

Premier Exhibitor Committee

This Committee works to get sponsorships for the program and help as needed during Fair to manage the testing and any other areas that require assistance.

Royalty Committee

This Committee oversees the Weld County Fair Royalty Court.  They will supervise, chaperone, consult, advise, and support the Court. The Committee or individual members will take the Royalty shopping, help with fundraisers, have committee meetings as well as meeting with the Royalty and their parents, make schedule of parades, activities, and fair, chaperone at parades and other activities. They are the link between the Royalty and the Fair Board, as well as Fair volunteers.

Security, Parking and Risk Management Committee

This Committee is responsible for setting up and working with security, parking, and risk management throughout the Fair and assisting with camper check in and out, as well as Vendor set up day.
