Volunteer Group Coordinator Seeking Volunteer Group Members
The 2013 Weld County Fair is pleased to announce we will be rolling out a new volunteer program coordinated by Bonnie Bryant. Bryant has served as a member, leader, volunteer, coach and judge in many areas of 4-H throughout our county and state. Some areas she has been a part of include Meats Judging, Home Economics and Foods. Bryant has also served as a delegate for the National 4-H Congress. In addition to 4-H, she has also has been heavily involved in programs and events throughout our community assisting and serving with programs at Envision and Northern Colorado Medical Center, as well as with the organizations of COVA (Colorado Organization for Vicitim Assistance) and SASI (Sexual Assault Survivors, Inc.). Bryant has also been involved with the Greeley Stampede as a Wrangler for over 20 years. With such dedication to her community, we look forward to having her on our team!
Bryant will lead our new volunteer program; The Weld County Fair-Hands. The Fair-Hands are a group of OUTGOING, ENTHUSIASTIC people, with a passion for fun and people who will volunteer in a variety of capacities to help keep the tradition of the Weld County Fair alive as we roll into our 95th year. The Weld County Fair is a FREE family event in our community the last week of July, which could not run without the power and dedication of volunteers.
We are currently seeking volunteers to be a part of this elite group, no “fair experience” necessary! Areas we are looking for help include, but are not limited to FRIENDLY greeters, HAPPY lunch servers, ENERGETIC helpers for games and activities during Family Fun Day and during our Pre-School Day, HELPFUL hands for loading and unloading of projects and associated materials, and SMILING traffic directors. The days and hours vary, so help at any time for any period of time is very much appreciated!!
