Hello!

My name is Sara Vieyra, I am your 2011 Weld County Fair Queen.  I live with my parents, Donald & Rita Johnston, and my siblings, Deeona, Lyndee, and Jaydee, on a ranch south of Grover.  I currently attend Pawnee High School.  I just finished the 10th grade, and really enjoyed the year with my friends!  I participated in volleyball and basketball.  I also am in my second year of FFA and 4-H.  My FFA Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE) is Diversified Livestock.  I raise cattle, pigs, and goats.  I am the Entertainment Director for the Grover Guys & Gals 4-H Club.  Last year in 4-H, I did scrapbooking and cake decorating.  I had a blast taking these projects to the fair, as well as showing my breeding and market goats.  This year I am doing scrapbooking and photography.  You will see me in the show ring with my market and breeding goats.  I am looking forward to all the activities this summer and can't wait to see you all at fair!  I will be there every day, so come on by and say hi!  Best of luck with your projects!

Thanks for supporting the Weld County Royalty!

Hey everyone, my name is Amber Thormodsgard and I am your 2011 Weld County Fair Princess. I am very excited to have the honor of representing the Weld County Fair throughout the year! I hope to meet and see you all this summer. Weld County Fair is a lot of fun and has many things to offer. I am looking forward to an awesome fair!

I am 14 years old. I attend Briggsdale High School where I will be a freshman in the fall of 2011. I am involved in volleyball and basketball. Outside of school I am the secretary of the Crow Creek 4-H, I am involved in livestock judging, and my church. Over the years I have done Colverbuds, Market Beef, Breeding Beef, Market Sheep, Market goat, and Horse.

In school, my favorite subjects are math, science and music. These teachers have made these classes very fun for me and have taught me a lot of valuable things that I need to know. After high school I want to attend college at either Kansas State University, Colorado State University, or North Dakota State University.

I am very blessed to have all of these opportunities and my support team is awesome. My family is amazing. My parents are Neil and Karen Thormodsgard. I also have an older sister and a younger brother. Their names are Megan and Tyler. They are both very involved in 4-H and exhibit at the fair every year.

4-H has been the single most educational and fun club/group of people that I have been involved in over the years. I am very lucky to have the chance to represent this wonderful group of people during my reign as the 2011 WCF Princess.
